Happy Anniversary!

OK, I know that it's not our 'real' anniversary, but I would like to celebrate the day that Matthias and I had our first date ~ 2 years ago today!! He had actually asked me out in February, but he was going away for 3 weeks so I had to be patient and wait for my date. Boy, was it worth the wait though. (Although the three weeks was the longest three weeks of my life!) Anyway, I remember the date like it was only yesterday. Matthias was the perfect gentleman opening doors for me, paying, being patient while I kept having to use the bathroom as I had an allergic reaction to the food (its a long story, but needless to say it didn't put him off ~ thank goodness!) and he even stood up every time I entered the room. I mean what man does that these days? MY MAN DOES!! :) I am so lucky to have him in my life and am so glad that we get to celebrate 2 wonderful years of dating! :) YAY for love :D

I like reading about you two. It so reminds me of my experience. Of course I had to wait 4 months for my first date as Gary went all the way to Italy for 120 days so you were fortunate. You know it's these Americans. I remember Gary being the same way and I loved every minute. Happy first date anniversary!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
