Last weekend we decided that it was time we took ourselves out and about for a little adventure into San Antonio's Alamo and River Walk. After all we have been living here for 2 months now! We had a really lovely day. The river walk was so beautiful ~ not to mention loads a nice restaurants too. We took a few photos for you to have a browse over. Hope you enjoy them.






A little update on Noah....we tried feeding him his first solid foods on Sunday. Let's just say the first attempt wasn't the most successful, as he was so hungry we couldn't feed him quick enough and he just cried and cried. However, second attempt, MUCH better. Although I think he thought the food could have gotten into his mouth a little faster than we were feeding him. lol But overall he's a pro and just loves eating! :) We did record him, so when I get my camera sorted out I will post a small video clip for all to see. Meanwhile here is a picture of Noah holding his feet. It's his favourite thing to do when laying on his back. That and the fact that he's constantly trying to eat his feet too, but he hasn't mastered that one just as yet.



I just love being a mum! Noah's growing so quickly, too quickly for my liking, but I'm enjoying every moment of it. Being a stay at home mum is so much fun and such a great reward, I wouldn't change my life for anything!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
