'Tis the season to be jolly!

And boy do I have much to be jolly about. Thanksgiving was a blast! It was so wonderful to have Matthias home with us ~ even if it was just for 3 days... they were the best 3 days of November! I decided that we were going to have the full Turkey, stuffing and veggies deal this Thanksgiving, even though there was only Matthias and I eating. But I figured hey what a great practise run for the Christmas dinner! Everything turned out great ~ my only 'annoyance' with cooking a turkey roast is that it takes like 3-4 hours to prepare and cook and then everything is eaten in 10 minutes!! I suppose that I should be grateful that everything is eaten and it's not wasted eh.

Anyway, the day after Thanksgiving our Christmas decorations went up. Yes I know it may seem a little early for some people, but I thought since Matthias wasn't going to be at home till 19 December (that being too close to Christmas; I wanted my decorations up earlier than that!) I thought that the only thing to do was put them up after Thanksgiving. It turns out I wasn't the only one in our neighbourhood who had this idea! Our decorations aren't much (in comparison to some peoples) but it's 'Christmasie' enough for me. I just love sitting at night with all the lights off apart from the Christmas tree, it's so cosy and lovely.

This week seems to have got off to a busy start and doesn't seem to be slowing down! Yesterday, Noah and I went and got our shots. Noah had 5 shots altogether and bless him he hasn't been too well today. He's had a high temperature which hasn't been fun for him ~ but he's slowly getting back to normal. This Saturday I have my ward Christmas Choir! I am looking forward to it, but also terrified at the same time. I think that this is the first time that I've done a musical event without my mum and I've been just praying so hard that it runs smoothly and the spirit will be there. You know I used to think my mum was crazy for worrying about her Christmas event, but now I know how she feels! Lol :) So there is a lot to prepare for and not enough time to get ready...isn't that always the way! I'm sure it will be fine really......

We are all ready for Christmas, our presents are wrapped, cards are written and sent, food in the kitchen all we need now is Matthias.....only 10 days till that happens, we are all so excited for his return. :) Below are some pictures of our Thanksgiving dinner and our Christmas decorations! Enjoy and happy holidays!
