I'm walking...so now there's no stopping me!

So as some of you know Noah is now walking on his own and has been now for over a month now. What most people don't know is that I had been trying to get Noah to walk on his own for 2 months before going to England. I know he could do it, it was just lack of confidence on his behalf. He would walk around holding on to my little finger and no sooner had I slipped my finger out of his hand he would fall to the floor and refuse to do anymore until I held his had again. Oh how it frustrated me...being a mother really is helping me learn new levels of patience I never knew I had! lol ;) Anyway, so the first day in England, and I mean the first day, we hadn't even slept yet, Thomas says to Noah, (Noah at the time was standing in between my legs) "Walk to uncle Thomas Noah!" and what does he go and do.....yep, WALK!! My mouth dropped to the floor, 2 whole months and for what....Noah to walk to Thomas first! Typical!! Although I have to admit I am happy that he is walking because he is getting way to heavy to keep carrying everywhere, even if he did walk to my brother first! (I weighed him this morning and he was 28 lbs 6oz!) So anyway, we did get this momentous event on camera, hope you enjoy it!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
