Update

Hello to all my readers out there.  I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted.  Although time has flown by we actually haven't been up to much....so there really isn't too much to report.  We have been painting our living/family room and dining room. Let me tell you that was an adventure!  We have these horrible textured walls that are virtually impossible to just paint one coat and be done with it! But after two painstaking days we were finish...even if our hands were swollen, we were covered in paint and our arms ached, it was worth it!!  However, we are all painted out for now and definitely won't be painting for a little while. (Photos will be coming soon!)

Noah is growing so fast and really taken on the mantle of the terrible twos!! :)  j/k He really isn't that bad, just a little cheeky at times, but what child isn't at two?  He just loves imitating his daddy.....drum roll for the cheese mustache.....(one of daddies tricks!)

He has been sleeping in a big boy bed now since he was 22 months (4 months now!) and for some reason, unknown to Matthias and I, he has been wanting to sleep in his crib lately, I guess he just loves having all the stuffed animals around him?!?!



Noah is extremely intelligent, he can count from 1 to 12, names most shapes you show him (even a hexagon!), knows most of his colours and is learning his ABC's.  We love our little boy so much and are really blessed to have him in our lives.

As for Matthias and I we are doing well, just doing the same old things, work, cub scouts, choir,.....oh and how could I forget, I'm teaching piano now, I have about 4 students so far, which I'm really enjoying!  So yay! :)  That's about it.....so ciao for now!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
