Happy New Year

I know the post title is very original, but hey, I did want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year!  Christmas, although quiet (and when I say quiet I mean we spent it on our own.  It could never be quiet with 2 boys in the house!) it was super fun.  Children just have a way of making Christmas fun.  What with them being over excited, it creates a wonderful Christmassy buzz that I wish we had all year round.

We started off on Christmas eve giving the boys their first present, to get them more excited for tomorrow.

PJ's and a cuddly toy

Roman's bear was a big hit!

Jammies on, cuddly bears ready and now the DVD
We thought it would be fun to start the tradition of Christmas Pj's.  The boys loved them and wanted to wear them all day, Christmas day.  When my brother and I were little we used to 'top and tale' on Christmas eve.  It made waiting for Santa that much more exciting.  Although I'm sure sometimes we didn't get to sleep till almost midnight!  But still it was a fun tradition and so I wanted to keep it going.  Yes, the boys loved sharing a bed and they surprisingly got to sleep by 8pm.  Poor Noah was rolled over a few times while Roman slept as if no one was next to him.  But alas at 10.30pm Noah came in and said he was too hot and asked if Roman could be moved to his own bed!  I guess that's what happens when you live in a hot place.  They still had fun all the same!

Handsome boys!
Christmas day was full of fun, opening presents and skyping family.  It was great!  We also enjoyed a lovely English roast, complete with Yorkshire puddings and Christmas crackers.

The boys loved their crowns!

Even if they didn't fit too well.
All in all it was a great Christmas!  New Years was a little less exciting, so much so that I didn't even take any photographs.  But still, its a New Year and a lot of exciting thing to look forward too!
