Guesses Please? Boy or Girl?


We have 6 days till my 20 week ultrasound and we are super excited.  I have had a lot of people ask me if I am going to find out if we're having a girl or boy?  And the answer to that questions is simply, yes!  We have done it both ways; with Noah we didn't find out till he was born and with Roman we found out at the 20 week ultrasound.  I actually enjoyed both experiences and I am really glad I've done it both ways.  I think the only benefit for me, in my opinion, finding out at the ultrasound is that I can then get everything organized.   Yes I am a little OCD when is comes to big events, like giving birth and having a new baby in the house.  Everything has to be in order! I want to have all the boys clothes washed and hanging in the closet if its a boy or buying all new clothes and girly things and redecorating the nursery if its a girl.

So here is the other big question; do I mind if its a girl or boy?  I guess people assume that because I have 2 boys already I would definitely want a girl.  I guess they would be half right ;)  The truth is I would be happy with either a boy or a girl.  I know everyone says it, but as long as the baby is healthy, I am happy!

As for the name situation....well I'm not one for telling everyone the name till the baby is born. But we do have a girls name ready, we have had one since before Noah was born.  As for boys, well, that's a completely different story.  It took us right up to the week that Roman was born to agree with his name.  For some reason I find boys names really difficult to come up with.  I guess its because I am super picky! I know we will come up with a good name we can both agree on, if it is a little boy, but I'm not going to worry about that till next week! :)

So yes, next Wednesday is the day! (Although it will be Thursday morning for most of my UK family and friends!)  What do you think we are having, boy or girl?  We will be announcing it soon, so place your bets....not that there is a prize or anything!  Just the fact that you were right is prize enough, right? ;)

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
