Mother's Day

I had to give a small post on Mother's Day.  I am always treated like a Queen.  I smothered with kisses, hugs, flowers, chocolates and I didn't have to do a thing.  It's always a lovely treat.  I have always said that I really don't want anything much, just my family with me.  That to me makes for a perfect Mother's Day.

We did get an added bonus this year, after church the men in our ward had organised a sit down meal for all the 18+ ladies in the ward. We were waited on and treated so well.  The men really pulled out all the stops!  All our children were either taken home or had babysitters so that we could all enjoy our meal and each others company with out being disturbed.  Such a cute idea and so much FUN!


Thank you to all those who made our Mother's Day so special.  A big special thanks to my little munchkins who I love dearly!  I am grateful that you made me a mother and that I have you all to love and care for every day!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
