Growing a Garden!

Last year I wasn't very successful with growing a garden.  I had quite a few flowers and they just all kept dying on me!!  So this year I thought that I would try again, but this time I did some reading and studied up on the things I wanted to plant.  I have got so excited about it, I have even planted vegetables and a Mexican Plum Tree too!!  I am happy to report that everything is still all alive...OK it's only been a few days, but for those of you that know me, I'm not very green fingered, so a few days is good!

Here is the proof of the gardener in me....hopefully I will be able to post in a few months the pictures of beautiful ripe tomatoes, corn, carrots, plum, peppers and onions?!!

even I can't kill rosemary - you'll be fine witht that lol! Thyme is indestructible too! Calendular and aqulegias will grow like weeds if you let them self seed if you want something pretty and easy. Look forward to seeing the results - more info on the plum please!

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Roman turned 5

Roman turned another year older.  This means he will be going to school this year...NOOO...I'm not ready!  Thankfully I still have two more at home with me!  Here are a photos of the day. We started celebrations on Wednesday with his friends from Joy School at his Paw Patrol party!  We played games, everyone decorated a cake, played with the pinata and played with new presents! BIRTHDAY DAY!! Traditionally opening presents in mummy and daddys bed He LOVES golf Obligatory silly glasses And of course breakfast in bed! New 'comfy pants' from Nanna and Granddad! Silly faces!!
