Lately.....

I know I haven't blogged for a few weeks, so I thought I would give everyone a quick up date on what's been happening.

School started again on August 5th (yes you read it correctly).  School tends to start pretty early here in Hawaii.  Not sure why, but it does mean that they do get a little longer breaks for the other holidays!  So I will take it.  Noah is now in 1st grade.  He had mixed feeling about starting school again.  Although he was excited, as he just loves to learn, he really didn't want to leave us.  I guess the thought of us having fun without him is too unbearable.  Oh boy, he did great on his first day though.

I really miss my big boy at home.  Its so quite with just Roman and Zara.  Noah is definitely the life and light of the party at home! :)

A few weeks ago our church primary had a pioneer day.  It was so fun.  The boys loved it.  They all had their 'family groups' with a child size wagon.  They dressed as Pioneers and learned how to make butter and candles, had a watermelon eating competition, wash clothes (Roman did not want to leave this, he LOVED washing the clothes) and doll making.  It was a hot, but very fun day.  Take a look ~

Yes this was 20 minutes later!  I think I've found out what I need to get him for Christmas!

Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull moment with him around,

It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. 2 Months

I know that Mateo will be 3 months in a few days, but I haven't caught up with his 2 months as yet, so I will post that now! At 2 months, he took his first airplane ride from Hawaii to Washington (state).  He is a brilliant flyer.  He slept the whole flight!  I even had to wake him to feed just before we landed. He is loved by all his siblings so much and mummy and daddy too, of course.  I often here Zara saying "I want Teo!" repeatedly till she gets him on her lap.  The she proceeds to sing to him and kiss him continually.  It's so cute!  Although I fear he will always have 2 mothers growing up :)  Noah and Roman love their cuddle times with him too.  Noah is such a great big helper with Mateo.  I know that they are all going to be great friends as they are growing up! Mateo loves to smile at everyone and he has the biggest most beautiful smile!       Mateo loves to eat. At 7 weeks he weighed 13lbs 4oz!  Who knows what he will weigh in
