Surprise! I've got the day off!! :)

Here's where the story begins...Thursday evening, once we had finished our dinner, Matthias said that he would love to meet up for lunch tomorrow. I was delighted as all week all I've been doing is getting things done for camp, and just non-stop working. Matthias has been going to the gym at lunch times, so I thought that it would be a great break during the day for both of us. Friday morning came, Matthias' alarm went off quite early, so that he could get to the gym before work. I didn't mind as I was quite tired and fell straight back to sleep again. However, about an hour later I heard the front door open! I was a bit alarmed by this as Matthias was at work and he was the only one with keys to the house!?! I said 'hello?!' but no-one answered! I came to the conclusion that I had been in a deep sleep and there really wasn't anyone there, I was just dreaming it...or was I? Matthias then burst through the bedroom door with a beautiful bouquet of yellow, orange and red flowers (all my favourite colours!), chocolates and a card! I asked what they were for and he just replied, 'Read the card.' So I did. He'd written a beautiful message inside and also told me that he had the day off so that we could spend it together!! He took me to see Mamma Mia in Norwich, out to eat and then shopping too! It was the best surprise ever!! I am so lucky ~ I have the best husband in the world!! :)

Saturday was the Stake Activity fun day. It was so much fun. There were fun stalls where you could win prizes, bouncy castles, food and a rodeo! Matthias braved the rodeo, and he did very well too ~ it's not as easy as it looks!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
