24 days till Christmas & Counting


Are you a last minute Christmas shopper or a January sale Christmas shopper? OK so you can be neither....but still, you will always find that you have at least one relative or friend who by the 1st December has completed all their Christmas shopping and started on the wrapping too. Unfortunately last year Matthias and I were more of the last minute buyers, but I have to admit, it didn't mean that we didn't put a lot of thought and care into our presents ~ they were still pretty cool gifts, if I don't mind saying so myself! Only I didn't want to have to do the same this year, so I am proud to say that we have nearly completed our Christmas shopping! Yes that's right folks, this year there won't be no last minute madness for the McCormicks! :) (Mind you I've been excited for Christmas for a whole month already and have been playing Christmas music too! NO the decorations aren't up just yet! :))

Anyway, moving on from Christmas shopping....as we have just celebrated Thanksgiving (Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!) and the Christmas season will be upon us soon, I just wanted to share how grateful I am for my wonderful husband and family. I have been so blessed and am excited to spend another fabulous Christmas with them all. I can't wait for what the new year brings....a baby, new house, new country to live in...and many more things I'm sure ~ WOW I have a wonderful life, filled with wonderful people! :)

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
