New Year Resolution

So I've decided to make a New Year resolution and write on our blog once a week....as you can tell I really haven't started off very well, this being the second week in January! Opps. 

Anyway, things are going well in the house hold of McCormick.  Christmas was fun, what with us having Matthias' brother and sister-in-law come and stay with us. Noah was SO excited for Christmas and to open all his MANY presents he got from family and Santa.  He was definitely spoilt a little too much.  His face was just a picture as he opened present after present.  Although I didn't get any photos, we did manage to video record it all.  It's funny because a few days later, once everyone had gone home and Matthias had returned to work, Noah woke up in the morning and from his bed shouted "Mummy, I want more presents please!" That's my boy! lol It's so funny what they come out with. 

Last Saturday we went the the San Antonio Train ride.  Noah just loves any type of transport and he was elated about going on a train ride.  Here are a few photos from our little ride:

In other news, I am 30 weeks pregnant today!  Yes, that's right we only have 10 weeks (or there abouts) till our lovely little boy comes and joins us in the world.  Time has really gone fast, so far.  I do think though that these last 10 weeks may just drag a little....mind you considering that I haven't actually got anything ready for his coming, that may be a good thing.  The uncomfortable nights, back aches and not being able to even put on my own socks and shoes easily is becoming a common thing...(Welcome to trimester 3, Elodie!) It's okay though, as I know its all part and parcel of pregnancy and it won't last forever.....plus in the end its all worth it!  I know I have been terrible with bump photos and still don't really have any, but next time I post I promise I will post a photo for all those bump photo lovers out there!

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Noah's Baptism

It really is great to be 8!  Our handsome Noah has been looking forward to this day for over a year now.  In our church you are able to get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. We believe that Baptism is an important first step to returning back to our Heavenly Father and to be able to eventually live together forever.  (For my non LDS friends you can read more about baptism and our religion here .)  We have been planning for a few weeks some of the things he wanted and he was super excited because both his grandparents were able to visit for his special day. He was baptized on his birthday by his daddy and the given the gift of the Holy Ghost by daddy too.  We had a small gathering, but enjoyed a yummy ice cream bar afterwards, Noah's request! :) We are so proud of him.  Noah is growing up to be a fine young man, he's caring, loving, intelligent, humble, crazy (the good kind :), there is never a dull mom...
