Making time for reading

This week I have been able to get caught up on all my sewing, bag packing and getting things ready for the  baby.  I was able to make a car seat canopy and matching diaper/wipes case.  I'm really pleased with how they've turned out.  (Although I haven't take time to photo them as yet ~ I will though.)  The reason I've got a little behind on things is because I've been making time for more reading.  Yes that's right, for those of you who know me, I'm not really a big reader, but the more I read the more I actually enjoy it ~ go figure! :)  So for my birthday last year Matthias got me the first book in the trilogy, The Hunger Games.  Okay, so I had heard it was a good book, but after reading the synopsis I really wasn't that interested to read it.  It didn't seem like my cup of tea.....So when Matthias got it for my birthday, I thought, okay I better give this book a try.  After reading a few chapters, let me tell you, I couldn't put the book down.  To my surprise I just loved it.  For Christmas I got the other 2 books and finished them within a week! :)  So now you've guessed it, I can't actually wait for the film to come out next month.  There is only one little problem, it comes out on my due date!  I wouldn't call myself a die hard 'Hunger Games' fan, but I am interested in seeing the movie, so I've decided, I will have our little bundle of joy a week early and then go to see the movie the next week on opening night.  I don't think it's too much to ask, after all he has been there for 34 weeks now and I think 39 weeks is just a perfect amount of time to be wanting to join us in this world.  (If you're thinking, well it could happen the other way round, see the movie, then a week later have the baby, well, that's just not an option!  NOT an option! :))  Joking aside, I really am not going to plan my baby round a movie, that's just wrong, but I will be interested to see how good the movie is and how accurate to the book it is....

Well, I think that's all of my ramblings for this week.  I promise I will get photos of my sewing work on here too.  Have a great weekend everyone!
