Look Who's a Big Boy!

As it is nearing to Roman's 2nd birthday, Matthias and I decided it was time to let Roman sleep in a big boys bed.  So Saturday we decided to put together the boys new bunk beds.  Although we aren't using them as bunk beds yet, the top bunk works great as a big boy bed with railings! 

Have I mentioned before how I actually really enjoy putting together flat pack furniture?  I know that may sound a little strange, but I really do!  Even though the bunk beds took around 3 hours to put together, it was a great sense of achievement once we had completed it.  There are a few things like a mural I would like to add to the room, but overall I think the boys room turned out great!!

The beds are actually not black, they're expresso!


Noah and Roman both love their new room.  They were super excited to go to bed.  I'm sure that'll wear off soon though...

Easter Fun

We really loved having a week off for Easter Break!  It was very much needed, for all of us.  I love having Noah at home.  He's such a great help and now that he's older, he's a real good buddy for me.  We have really great, grown up conversations, I love it.  We just really enjoyed family time, seeing old friends and eating lots of chocolate.  Isn't that what school breaks are all for?!  Here are a few photos of our fun. It kind of snowed.....twice

So my lovely little (or not so little) cutie pies were really excited to move here for one main reason...SNOW!  They had never seen or can remember seeing snow.  So after hearing that last years snow fall was a crazy amount and the schools were closed, they were super excited for this winter. (A lot more so than mummy, let me tell you!)  If there is one thing I have learned from moving here, although I do like it here, I DO NOT like cold weather!  I just cannot stay warm....but hey that's another story.  A few weeks back we did indeed get snow. This was the second time this year.  It was a very little but it pleased my children all the same!  They had fun in the snow till their fingers froze.  There was enough snow to make a snowman this time so they were happy. Roman turned 5

Roman turned another year older.  This means he will be going to school this year...NOOO...I'm not ready!  Thankfully I still have two more at home with me!  Here are a photos of the day. We started celebrations on Wednesday with his friends from Joy School at his Paw Patrol party!  We played games, everyone decorated a cake, played with the pinata and played with new presents! BIRTHDAY DAY!! Traditionally opening presents in mummy and daddys bed He LOVES golf Obligatory silly glasses And of course breakfast in bed! New 'comfy pants' from Nanna and Granddad! Silly faces!!
