Ward Camp

Ward camp is a big thing in Hawaii.  Last year was our first one and we only camped for 2 days.  This year, as the boys were older we decided that we would camp for the whole week.  To the surprise of many, I actually love camping!  I love getting back to nature, not being busy on computers, watching too much TV, playing on the Wii or kindle....the list could go on.  Its just so nice to sit and talk to friends and family and enjoy the beautiful world that the Lord has made for us.

We really did have a blast at camp!  My only regret is that I didn't take enough photographs!  I love having them for memories, but I unfortunately didn't get my camera out as much as I wished I did!  Part of the reason is I was actually in charge of camp.  But thankfully I have friends in the ward who did, so I should be able to get a few more then I have.

We were able to camp at the beautiful Bellows camp site.  For those who don't know, it's right next to the beach!  And if you've been to Hawaii you'd know that all the beaches are stunning.  It was a real treat to wake up and hear the waves and see the sunrise and set over the mountains!!  I love living in paradise!

We were able to got to the beach every day, have camp fire singing and smores, water fights, slip and slides, shaved ice, big bubbles, inflatable water slide, night crabbing, face painting, games....and more.  I can't remember everything, but I know my boys and I had a blast!

Here are some of the photos I have of our adventures of last week.

Haha this is the only photo I have of me at camp! :)

Roman just LOVED his shaved ice!

Water fight!  I don't think I've seen so many water balloons.  We had the same amount of balloons the other side and they were all gone within 5 minutes!  Good job we all had fun! :)

A guy from our ward put together a short video of camp, which is really awesome!  You can check it out here if you want https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1iUC-CTHNQ

Well I think its safe to say that we will be going to ward camp all week again next year!  Even if we do have a 6 month old!!  What great memories! :)
